2022 Utah Arborist School

The Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands is sponsoring the Utah Arborist School designed to prepare those interested in taking the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist Exam.

TOPICS:  Tree Biology, Nutrition & Fertilization, Soil Science, Water Management, Installation and Establishment, Tree Identification & Selection, Diagnosis & Plant Disorders, Plant Health Care, Tree Pruning, Trees and Construction, Risk Management & Safety, Tree Support & Lightening Protection, Climbing Techniques, Working in Trees, and Urban Forestry.

Presentations, class work, and field demonstrations will be combined to best cover the ISA material.  Be prepared to spend time outside in any weather.

IMPORTANT ISA TEST INFORMATION

In addition to the Arborist School registration fees, those applying to take the exam must also pay a fee to the ISA.  The exam fee is $280, unless you are an ISA member and a Utah Chapter member, then the exam fee is only $170.  A combined ISA and Utah Chapter membership is $190 per year.  

Exam applications and fees must be submitted to the ISA at least 12 business days prior to the exam.  Exam deadline August 16, 2022
